ENREDADO
Dia 26 de Janeiro às 19:00 horas abrirá a exposição "Enredado", de Pedro Varela e Carolina Ponte, no Viborg Kunsthal, em Viborg, na Dinamarca.
Enredado apresentará um diálogo entre os trabalhos dos dois artistas partindo do desenho, eixo central de suas produções, que vai se desdobrando em outros meios como esculturas em crochê, gravuras, colagens e pinturas.
Os trabalhos escolhidos para exposição são também o desenvolvimento de pesquisas iniciadas no programa de residência do próprio Viborg Kunsthal, que Pedro Varela e Carolina Ponte participaram em 2017. Enredado apresenta um emaranhado de ideias que surgem de diferentes maneiras na produção dos dois artistas. Enquanto no trabalho de Carolina Ponte o emaranhado de linhas surge de forma literal em suas esculturas de crochê, as pinturas e colagens de Pedro Varela mostram um "enredo" não linear que por outro lado também tem como intenção emaranhar conceitos numa trama de imagens e formas. O resultado da exposição é um conjunto variado de obras, que instigam o espectador através de texturas, cores, textos e formas não convencionais. O Viborg Kunsthal é um centro de cultura com programa de altíssima qualidade, tendo mostrado artistas e coletivos de renome como Superflex, Paul McCarthy e Hector Zamora para citar alguns.

ENRADADO (entangled)
Iam pleased to invite you to the opening of "Enredado", an exhibition by Pedro Varela and Carolina Ponte at the Viborg Kunsthal, in Viborg, Denmark, on the 26 of January from 19:00 to 21:00 hours.
Enredado will present a dialogue between the works of the two artists starting from drawing, the central axis of their productions, which will unfold into other means such as crochet sculptures, prints, collages and paintings.
The works chosen for the exhibition are also the development of a research initiated in the residency program of Viborg Kunsthal, which Pedro Varela and Carolina Ponte participated in 2017.
Enredado presents a tangle of ideas that arise in different ways in the production of the two artists. While in Carolina Ponte's work the tangle of lines appears literally in her crochet sculptures, Pedro Varela's paintings and collages show a non-linear "plot" which, on the other hand, also intends to entangle concepts in a web of images and shapes . The result of the exhibition is a varied set of works, which instigate the viewer through textures, colors, texts and unconventional shapes.
The Viborg Kunsthal is a cultural center with a very high quality programme, having shown renowned artists and collectives such as Superflex, Paul McCarthy and Hector Zamora to name a few.
